How we forged our rings

It all began on a sunny day on Lake Constance...

There we carved our blanks out of wax.

At the home of our goldsmith friend Josef, we began to make further arrangements.

Elouan took great pleasure in hammering the sand soaked in linseed oil into the mould.

Josef helped us to push the blank into the sand...

...and carefully take it out again to get a perfect imprint.

Gold from both ancestral lines were melted into each other...

...we spoke our blessings into the golden heart...

...to create two magic rings.

Real Alchemy!

The alloy: rose gold, according to the golden ratio:

2/3 gold, 1/3 copper and silver

In between, Josef made a copy of Maël's pendant; made of real silver.

He then polished the newly created wedding rings and engraved small decorations and names on them.

And so we were more than ready for the upcoming wedding!

Despite an accident on the way there, in which we had to take our new ship into the shipyard for several weeks, we made it in time for our unforgettably magical celebration of love.
